I have been going to Ying Bun for Chinese food for the past several years. The food is always delicious, generous portions, friendly staff and very attentive to every need. and willing to make substitutions in the menu. Reasonably priced and relaxed atmosphere. What more could one ask for?

Bleh! Frozen vegetables and heavy cornstarch sauce. Need I say more?

Eat her frequently sense it is so close to home. The owner is very nice and the waitress is a hoot. Love the Sesame Beef and the Garlic Sauteed String beans. Did not like the chow main or fried rice. But the sesame beef is so good that I crave it!!

This is our choice for Chinese in West Linn. Good prices on good portions and a very friendly staff. A couple of the family favorites are House Lo Mein or Hot Sauce Beef. The kids love the Sweet & Sour Chicken.

We recently moved here from Texas and have been trying all of the Chinese restaurants in the area. We finally tried Ying Bun tonight and I am so glad that we did! Finally! We found egg flower soup and sweet & sour chicken just like my kids like it! We also had the General's chicken and it was fantastic. The waitress was extremely nice and accommodating, and so nice to my very hyper 5 year old daughter. We have found a new favorite for Chinese food!

This is a great restaurant if you are looking for basic Chinese food. The hot and sour soup is really good. The fried rice is spot on. The service is friendly. To everyone living in West Linn, please eat here as much as you can. We gotta support our local businesses. Try the BBQ Pork for an appetizer. Then the General Chicken. Ask for pan fried noodles for the noodle dishes. Great place for take out. You get almost twice the food.

We get takeout here from time to time and it's always great. The kids love things like sweet and sour pork and I like vegetable dishes. It's not a fancy place but the food is good and the staff is really nice.

We frequent this restaurant quite often and we absolutely love the owners. They strive to please and the quality of the food is quite good. It isn't up scale and the decor is dated but we enjoy dinners and lunch when we want Chinese food in the West Linn area.

Good to find the deep fried shrimp that closely resembles what Wan-Q used to do out by Sunset HIgh School. Small little place by the 7-11 which is across Highway 43 from the Walmart. I would go back definitely.

I like food here, good quality with reasonable price. If you are very hundred, this is the place to eat.

Yes, they're in a mini strip mall between the dry cleaners & 7-11.... but that being said the food and the service have been extremely good for 20+ years. I just happened to think - I keep going there but had never written a review. They will try and accommodate your every wish and service from Karen & her cohort is wonderful. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the neighborhood.

Great service. Clean environment. This is American Chinese food catering to pot sticker eating Americans. The food is bland. Fried rice is bland. Sweet and sour chicken uses bottle sweet and sour sauce as flavor. So place and service good but food is so so...

Decided to try this establishment, after reading the reviews here, while waiting for my dog to be groomed not far from there. Small friendly restaurant. Had the hot & sour soup and it was pretty much the most tasteless I've had anywhere. Had one of the lunch specials which included BBQ beef ( best, moist & tasty I've ever had}, Pork Fried Rice (pretty generic but I never did find any pork in it), Deep Fried Chicken ( Better than most other places, not over-cooked or dry), and Chicken Sub Gum Chow Mein (would have been very good/above average but had too much celery). Probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. There are too many other better Chinese restaurants nearby. Prices were reasonable.

My wife and I have been eating here for 15 years. The lemon chicken is one of our favorites. Most everything we've had has been very good. The owners and staff are both attentive and very pleasant. We will continue to dine at Ying Bun as long as long as we can.

It's great for what it's supposed to be. Plenty of food at a good price. Fairly Americanized and plenty of sodium. But our kids eat it and it is consistently a go-to place for us when we're hungry on the way home.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
